Andrea Cefalo and I went to an arts festival in Travelers Rest, SC. We originally went to visit our friend Susan Molnar at her tent where she was going to exhibit some really cool electronic arts stuff. We got there early and helped her set up her tent and some cool stuff. We left a bit early and got drinks at a local restaurant to cool off a bit before going back to the festival. When we got back, we were introduced to Tom Riddle (@ImagineeringEd) by his brilliant son Ben Riddle. Tom is the principal at Shannon Forest Christian School. He has incorporated design-thinking in the workings of the school. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the school employs design-thinking. He was also the project coordinator during the planning phases of the new STEAM school in Greenville, Fisher Middle School. The Riddle family is quite an exciting group of people. I consider myself lucky to have met them.
As far as social media goes, today was a bitter-sweet day for me. I updated my Twitter account to reflect my program at Riverside Middle School. It was originally set up to extol the many success of the students at the d School @ Sanders Middle School. I updated my school info and my twitter handle. It was pretty tough to do. I'm ecstatic to be teaching in a new environment and with a new team of learners, colleagues and community members, but I'll miss my old students, colleagues and community members in Laurens. To follow us on Twitter, you can follow me at @kmorrillmvad. Our new Facebook fanpage is at

Well, I guess that's about it for this day. We'll keep you posted.
